Is Brazilian conductor and composer, Barbosa was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and graduated from the National School of Music of Brazil. Whilst there, Barbosa was a student of Antônio Francisco Braga. Barbosa is one of the pioneers of electronic music in Brazil.[1][2]Barbosa worked with Heitor Villa-Lobos from 1930[2] and composed a number of works, many with a strong Brazilian theme.
