Marika Krevata: was a Greek actress of theatre and film. Marika was the daughter of Stamatis Krevatas (musician) and Sofias (actress in Constantinople (now Istanbul), of the Panteliadis). She was born in Athens in 1910. Krevata lost her father and her little sister Thaleia when she was 2. Her childhood years were poor. She first appeared in theatre at an early age. In the beginning she took part in companies which toured the Greek outdoors along with children's acts including Daskalitsa (?as?a??tsa) by Nicodemi next to Marika Kotopouli.

Wandjuk Marika: was an Australian Aboriginal painter, actor, composer and land rights activist. He was a member of the Riratjingu clan of the Yolngu people of north-east Arnhem Land, Northern Australia.[1] [2]His paintings expressed his people's traditional religious beliefs, and included Djang'kawu Story (1960) and Birth of the Djang'kawu Children of Yelangbara (1982).[3] [2] Djang'kawu is the founding ancestor of the Riratjingu in traditional stories.[1]He co-founded the Aboriginal Arts Board in 1973, and became Chairman in 1979.[3] He was awarded the Order of the British Empire that same year.[4]
