Most of the women want to work during pregnancy, but believe me it's not always easy! Pregnancy brings so many challenges at the workplace. Here are some tips with which you can stay healthy and productive on the job.

Nausea

Easing nausea at work, you can:

  • Make sure you keep a water bottle at your desk and sip it often.
  • Avoid smelling of foods or areas that triggers nausea.
  • Keep something like crackers, cookies, ginger biscuits etc for easy snacking.
  • Keep a handkerchief with lemon or oil with good fragrance and hold it up when nausea hits.

Fatigue

To handle fatigue at work, you can:

  • Take frequent breaks and move around for few minutes.
  • Take adequate rest and hire someone for the activities of your house like cleaning etc.
  • Make sure you take a walk, but do take advice from your doctor.
  • Sleep early and at least for 7-9 hours every night.
  • You can always ask for a comfortable chair and can use a small pillow or cushion to support your back.
  • While sitting, keep a small footrest to raise your feet.
  • Wear comfortable footwear.
  • Always bend at your knees.

Stress

To minimize stress at work place, you can:

  • Practice some good relaxation techniques or yoga to combat stress.
  • Talk to someone about your irritations.
  • Make a list and prioritize your job.
