It is used in the pidgen english bible for the peaceful dove in the Solomon Islands. My grandfather was a missionary there and it was my mothers name.
I love this name as it belongs to my sister Qona Wright who was named after another Qona whose parents had been missionaries in the Solomon Islands near Australia. We were always told it meant little dove although little dove is just as lovely
