is an Australian sprint canoer who competed in the early 1980s. At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, he finished eighth in the K-4 1000 m event.
John Crosbie

was a Newfoundland politician and businessman. In 1908, he was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly representing the Newfoundland People's Party. He served under Prime Minister Michael Patrick Cashin as Minister of Fishing in 1917, and then as Acting Prime Minister in 1918. When the People's Party collapsed, Crosbie joined the Liberal-Conservative Progressive Party and returned to government in 1924, serving in Prime Minister Walter Stanley Monroe's cabinet as Minister of Finance and Customs until his retirement in 1928. Crosbie's son, Chesley A. Crosbie served on the Newfoundland National Convention in the 1940s, and was leader of the Party for Economic Union with the United States opposing Canadian Confederation in the 1948 Newfoundland referendums. His grandson, John Crosbie was a provincial cabinet minister in the 1960s and 1970s and a federal Progressive Conservative cabinet minister under Canadian Prime Ministers Joe Clark and Brian Mulroney.
