The father and stepmother of the former NASCAR racer, Robby Gordon, were discovered in the Orange home of the racer. The statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported that Robert and Sharon Gordon were found at 5 pm in a house on the 1400 block of North Kennymead Street. Autopsies have been ordered and are pending with the Supervising Deputy Coroner – Kelly Keyes.
Robby Gordon was distraught and told reporters that the truth is out there and it will come out. Little is known about the couple's death, however, relatives asked a neighbor to check on them, when they couldn't’ be reached and that's when the bodies were found.
Police think that the deaths might be a murder-suicide, but the cause of death is unknown. Robby Gordon grew up in the home where they were found and learned a lot about motorsports there.
Robby Gordon has won the IndyCar Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but now only does off-road competitions, like the Dakar Rally or the Baja 500.
