Rebel Wilson Honored at Australians in Film Awards

Paul Feig was excited to honor the memorable Rebel Wilson at this year's Australians in Film Awards. This was the fifth benefit that also recognized Ridley Scott, James Wan, Jai Courtney and Greg Basser.

The room at the Australians in Film Awards was packed with many stars at the gala. The Australian comedian Tim Minchin was host during the event that was held at the NeueHouse Hollywood. Minchin's went on to say that Wilson is so funny and that she is easy to fall in love with.

Director Paul Feig was eager to present Rebel Wilson with the inaugural Screen NSW Kellermann Award. He even talked about the first time he met her, during the Bridesmaids audition – it was unlike anything he had ever seen before, she was unique, but in a perplexing way.

Wilson was quick to point out after accepting the award that no one thought she would be “a good actress let alone successful!” The journey has been hard but she loves every single second of being on the stage.
