The 50th Anniversary of Neil Diamond’s career is approaching and the hit singer plans to go on a World Tour to commemorate the big year. The tour will begin in 2017 and will cover many arenas in North America with a total of 39 concerts.
The half-century milestone will celebrate the first hit single that Diamond had many years ago called “Solitary Man,” way back in 1966. The tour will start in the United States in California in April and tickets will be on sale in December.
According to the CEO from Live Nation, Michael Rapino, the music icon has both talent and artistry, which makes him a part of American culture as he has helped to shape the music industry. For five decades, the musician has made his mark pumping out a ton of popular music.
Diamond went on “The Tonight Show” to announce the tour and the release of his new seasonal album – Acoustic Christmas. While on the show he played a game of “Password showdown” partnered with the host Fallon, against J.J. Abrams and Natalie Portman.
