After attending the American University located in Cairo, Minoush Abdel-Meguid obtained an Executive Diploma in Mergers and Acquisitions from the Aresty Institute of Executive Education which is part of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. During the last year, she has been a part of the Union Capital’s exit from Sinai Marble Company and was also selected by Global Leadership Congress as the Young Achiever of the Year.
Before Abdel-Meguid started Union Capital, which is a fund that was set up from small to medium sized businesses in Egypt, she worked many many different roles in investment banking. From the financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in London to the manager at HSBC Investment Bank Egypt, even serving as the lead of the corporate finance of Egypt’s Capital Market Authority.
She is also the founding president of the Egyptian Young Bankers Association, which is an Egyptian NGO that support many young banker’s careers. She was the only Egyptian participant at the State Department’s International Visitors’ Leadership Program that focused on “Women in Economic Development”. Abdel-Meguid was selected by the World Economic Forum in 2015 as a Young Global Leader. In 2016, she was named by Arabian Business as one of the 100 most influential young Arabs in the world.
