In 2017, Michael “Micky” Flanagan will be going on another stand-up tour called “An’ Another Fing”. He is set to perform throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland stopping at 15 cities in May, September and October.
The brand new material will be performed on 27 dates next year, with more dates to be set later if demand is strong enough. In fact, the tour is set to visit venues in Birmingham, Belfast, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Brighton, Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Sheffield.
Flanagan is a huge star in Britain right now, and the tour is his first in many years. Back in 2013, he went on the – Back in the game tour.
The decision to take some time off, came when he was thinking about what he was going to do with his life. He decided to take a year off – as he had reached the top. Flanagan joked that he was “probably the best comic in the world, so why not give the others a chance.”
Although he enjoyed the time off, he always knew that he would come back to comedy. This tour comes with the announcement that a new TV series called “The Micky Flanagan Detours” will air next year too.
The masculine name Michael is taken from the Hebrew name Mikha’el that means “who is like God?” The question is rhetorical as no one is like God. The name is given to one of the archangels in Hebrew tradition, as well as in the Bible. Not to mention saint Michael, who is the patron saint of soldiers.
Lastly, there's a lot to be said for tradition. Naming the baby as per Numerology or even for the ancestors can have a positive impact on the baby's future. Even if you take these astrological signs with a pinch of salt, a little bit of extra luck never hurt anyone!..
