It’s been a long time since Meg Ryan has worked with Tom Hanks, but they’ve gotten together again for Ryan’s film “Ithaca.” This time, the two stars won’t just be acting together, Meg will be directing this new flick.
The last time the two teamed up was for “You’ve Got Mail”. Not to mention their other two box office hits “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Joe Versus the Volcano”.
The two have been friends forever, and Hanks was a perfect fit for this film. The film “Ithaca” revolves around a 14-year-old boy that delivers telegrams during World War II to families and soldiers. It will be nice to see the two stars act together again.
Ryan commented on how directing compared to acting in an interview with CNN – as a director you are aware of everything around you and can take an objective point-of-view; however, as an actor you are in you own head, getting to know the character in a subjective way.
