Martin Shkreli has been a real-life villain, after he raised the prices on the anti-HIV drug Daraprim in September 2015, from $13.50 to $750 USD per pill. He has been given the nickname “Pharma Bro,” by people around the world.
Shkreli promised that if Trump won the election that he would release a one-of-a-kind album from the Wu-Tang Clan, “Once Upon A Time In Shaolin.” The group recorded the double album back in 2014, as a protest against the “mass production and content saturation” that was in the music industry.
The gold-selling rap group auctioned off the album to the highest bidder for about $2.6 million dollars. However, the album came with a legal agreement that the buyer could not release the songs commercially for 88 years or until the year 2103. Although the album and songs could still be played at parties or listened to online for free.
The buyer of the album turned out to be Shkreli, who had refused to share the album. Even after many feuds with the Wu-Tang Clan to be “philanthropic”. However, he promised to release this album among other unreleased material by well-known artists if Trump won the election.
