Eminem in the Running to be a Nobel Lyricist

According to the Irish poet Seamus Heaney, Eminem"Marshall Bruce Mathers III" definitely qualifies to be the next Nobel laureate in literature. Marshall Mathers is among the ranks of other Nobel laureates in literature, like Bob Dylan or John Lennon.

Eminem is part of an “elite breed of lyricist,” states Heaney, who has won a Nobel prize himself for literature. As Eminem has a verbal energy and subversive attitude that sets him apart from the rest.

Not only does Eminem create a sense of what could be possible but he has resonated with his generation, Heaney explained to The Guardian. Just take the original composition “Lose Yourself,” that won many Oscars.

Marshall Bruce Mathers III has a unique talent for writing songs that is complimented by the speed he raps at.  In fact, he used to hold the world record for the most words in a hit single in Guinness World Records. He is known worldwide for his controversial lyrics and rebellious themes in his hip-hop songs.
