On the latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing, Louise Redknapp wowed the audience in a Nautical-inspired routine. Even her husband, Jamie Redknapp, was amazed as he watched from the audience, with tears in his eyes.
Louise is a great dancer and the blonde beauty stunned the audience with her jive that moved her into second place on the leaderboard. Dressed in a tiny little red skirt and jacket, she danced with her partner, Kevin Clifton, as they shimmied and shook to the Brian Setzer Orchestra song - Jump, Jive and Wail.
Louise’s performance was impressive considering her nerves and the fact that she is a bit apprehensive about her debut. However, Kevin did not console her, he instead dismissed her previous dancing role in the pop scene.
The pair was a huge hit, the routine amazed and shocked the judges and surpassed even their expectations. With a score of 31 points, the pair is now tied for second with Oti Mabuse and Danny Mac for next week’s show.
The feminine name Louise was the French female version of the masculine name Louis. The name Louis is a French form of Ludovicus or the Latinized version of Ludwig; which is from the name Chlodovech in Germanic from the two elements hlud that means “famous” and wig which means “war or battle”.
The name has been common in the English-speaking world since halfway through the 19th century. It has even ranked among the top name for girls in places like England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden and Whales.
