For Lisa Loeb, the ‘90s will be an important part of her life and past, but she would like to keep moving forward. Although she likes to think about the past, she is not keen on reliving it.
Recently, the singer returned to the stage for a throwback concert hosted by Crystal Pepsi. Loeb performed her hit song from 1995, “Stay” and more classic hits, along side artists like Biz Markie, Salt N Pepa and En Vogue.
Even though the singer did not feel comfortable performing a song that was just for a 90s marketing plan, she did feel that the audience could take something away from the event. The memories from the past and the music was awesome. However, the fashion trends from the 90s were not the singers favorite. She misses the smart phone culture from the early 90s, but not the clothing, the people were more creative.
The name Lisa is short for Elizabeth from the Hebrew name “Elisheva” which means “my God is an oath” or “my God is abundance”. The name gained popularity among Christians, spreading through out Eastern Europe. Also becoming common in England after the name was taken by Queen Elizabeth I.
The name Lisa was made popular by one of the most famous paintings – the portrait of “Mona Lisa” painted by Leonardo da Vinci of the person – Lisa del Giocondo. Now the famous singer, Lisa Loeb, will be a part of the famous Lisa’s throughout history.
