Jesinta Campbell Got Married

The first pictures of the wedding were posted to social media - of Jesinta Campbell and Buddy Franklin's happy day. The two “tied the knot” and were quick to put up photos on Facebook to celebrate with fans.

Jesinta posted a photo of her all dressed up in a long-sleeve gown, showing off the ring Buddy gave her for all to see, tagged with the caption “Mr. and Mrs. Franklin”. She even changed her last name to be Jesinta Franklin. Buddy went on social media to post the exact same picture with a different caption - “My Love”.

The couple looked gorgeous for the big day. Especially, Jesinta in her Vera Wang gown that had a full-skirted and a cathedral veil. Her dress may have been inspired by her appearance at the label’s show in New York Fashion Week. While Buddy wore a Hugo Boss suit.

According to Channel 9, the wedding happened in a “secret” location, which was in the Blue Mountains, where they had an outdoor ceremony. However, other sources are reporting that the wedding happened in Queenstown.

The feminine name Jesinta is a Greek name that is derived from the name of a precious stone and means “beautiful”. While others believe that it is probably a variant of Jacinta, which is the Portuguese and Spanish female versions of the name Hyacinthus. The masculine name Hyacinthus is the Latinized version of the Greek name Hyakinthos that was derived from the name of a beautiful Greek flower – the hyacinth.
