Jerry Heller Has Died

The former N.W.A. manager has passed away at the age of 75-years-old. Heller was the music executive that was depicted in “Straight Outta Compton” in the 2015 hit film.

According to his lawyer, Mickey Shapiro, he had a heart attack while driving, which lead to his crash. Heller died on route to the hospital located in Ventura Country, California. Fortunately, the driver who was in the car he hit was not seriously hurt.

Heller gained widespread attention with his story about the rap group N.W.A. and the release of “Straight Outta Compton.” However, he was in the middle of filing a claim again the filmmakers, because of the damage caused to his reputation and the fact that he had not given his consent for the movie to be made.

In fact, Shapiro thinks that the stress from the lawsuit and tarnished reputation played a role in his untimely death. Many big names in the industry went on social media to post about his death.
