The “Strictly Come Dancing” dancer, Gorka Marquez was assaulted in Blackpool. In fact, he had to have dental surgery after the incident, as his lower jaw was injured and two front teeth were chipped.
The incident happened at a nightclub, after Marquez and some other dancers from the show went out to relax. This was just after filming the show in the town on the seaside. The incident was not reported to the police but they are investigating it anyways. BBC informed the police that Marquez was the victim of an completely unprovoked incident.
The attack involved a gang of youths and was a really bad experience according to Marquez. He reassured fans that he is now feeling better and thanked everyone for all the support.Marquez is looking forward to next week’s show and the group routine. Furthermore, he will be able to attend training sessions this week.
