Goldie Hawn was persuaded by the comedian Amy Schumer to return to film. Her comeback will be tons of fun, after taking a 14-year break to focus on charity work.
Now that Hawn wants to co-star alongside of Kurt Russell, she is looking forward to acting again. She will star in a Mother-Daughter “comedic adventure” that was co-written by Schumer. Schumer, 35, will also co-star in the film as the child of Hawn.
The last film Hawn, 70, starred in was “The Banger Sisters” back in 2002. The Oscar winner had a blast coming back to film and working with Schumer. The movie was a perfect fit, from the reading of the original script to the making of the film. The film is due to come out next year.
Hawn stated that coming back to acting was so much fun, but she is doing a ton of other things currently, so who knows what will happen next. She could even get back into the world of comedy, anything is possible. In fact, Hawn wants to make a film with Russell before she is done.
Goldie Hawn was named after her mother’s aunt. The feminine name Goldie is the nickname of a person with blonde hair, which is taken from the English word gold. On the other hand, the Yiddish name Goldie is a variant of Golda, which means “gold” in Yiddish. The name Goldie is rare and there are not many people that have it as a given name.
Another thing to keep in mind when naming your baby is whether the name is currently popular and trendy or not? Names like Calista and Leonardo are of all the rage, thanks to Ally McBeal - the hit TV series and Titanic - the movie.
