The model Gigi Hadid was making her way out of the MaxMara show in Milan when a bearded man in a hat hugged her and lifted her into the air. The fans she had been taking selfies with were astonished.
Bella Hadid, her sister, tried to help her escape from his grasp but was unsuccessful. Then, Gigi jabbed her sharp elbow into the man’s face and he dropped her and ran away. Ms. Hadid attempted to follow him down the Corso Venezia but was held back by her team.
The incident was caught on video and the man has been identified as The Hollywood Reporter – Vitalii Sediuk. In recent years, Mr. Sediuk has been causing uproars with his behavior, from sticking his head up the American actress Ferrera's skirt to holding Brad Pitt’s legs.
Many headlines about the story have been supporting Gigi’s reaction to the random man in the street. Ms. Hadid agreed, as she just wants to be treated like a human being.
