Evan Rachel Wood Deals with Sexual Assault

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Evan Rachel Wood brought up the challenging subject of sexual assault. The Westworld actress feels strongly about her sexuality and standing up against those who mistreat people sexually and in other ways.

Wood, 29, has been raped more than once and felt compelled to open up about her experience after Trump was elected the next president of the United States. She even shared a personal email that revealed more about her experiences.

Unfortunately, she has been raped by someone close while in a relationship and by a complete stranger, it doesn’t matter who it is it is still a hard thing to deal with. The actress believes that we have come to a point in time where it is no longer acceptable to remain quiet about sexual assault and the blatant bigotry in our world.

Wood plays the android called Dolores in the hit series Westworld, a character who is also subjected to different acts of violence from the very beginning. The filming of these violent scenes helped Wood to deal with the trauma that she experienced in the real world.
