The famous actor, Daniel Michael “Danny” DeVito Jr., has had many interesting co-stars but a tiny, confused monkey seems to be the most scary.
While filming “Batman Returns,” in the role of the Penguin the iconic villain, he was challenged by his monkey companion. Not only that but he was also up against Michael Keaton as Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
Everything was fine during rehearsal, according to DeVito, the monkey brought him a note without any problems. However, for the actual scene, a cosmetic piece was used and it caused a black and green ooze to drip out of DeVito’s mouth, and this caused the monkey to freak out. In fact, the monkey took one look at DeVito and leaped right at his balls.
On the upside, the actor escaped the incident without any injuries. Thankfully, he was wearing a large penguin suit that saved him. However, they had to retake the entire scene to make the final cut, which was a bit nerve racking.
The masculine name Danny is a diminutive of Daniel, which is taken from the Hebrew name Daniyyel that means “God is my judge”. The name became popular after Daniel the Hebrew prophet from the Old Testament. He lived in captivity in Babylon, serving the king, then rising to prominence after interpreting the king’s dreams. Daniel even had four visions of how the world would end.
The name became used during the Middle Ages in England because of the popularity of Daniel from the bible. However, it was rare again by the 15th century, before being revived after the Protestant Reformation.
Again, while unisex clothes and unisex everything has become really popular, are you sure you really want a unisex name for your baby? Let your baby's name reflect his or her gender.
