Chuck Berry is Releasing a New Album

A big surprise was revealed by Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry on his 90th birthday, he plans on releasing a brand new record – “Chuck” in 2017. This will be the first album he has released since 1979 when “Rock It” came out.

The studio album will be released by Dualtone Records and will consist of new, original songs that were all written, produced and recorded by Mr. Berry. The recording of the album happened in many studios scattered throughout St. Louis, his hometown.

In fact, Mr. Berry dedicated the record to his wife, Themetta, who he lovingly calls his “Beloved Toddy.” It will be his last album, as he has worked hard and grown old.

The band behind the legend included his children – Charles Berry Jr. on the guitar and Ingrid Berry on the harmonica. The family has played together from many years, even though the schedule has slowed down recently. After Mr. Berry collapsed in a concert held in Chicago things changed and he has not even played his regular show at Blueberry Hill since 2014.

Chuck Berry goes by the name Charles Edward Anderson Berry and is one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. The masculine name Charles comes from the Germanic name Karl that was taken from the Germanic word that means “man”. On the other hand, another theory is that the name was derived from a common element in the Germanic language - hari that means “warrior or army”.
