Names In Fame 2016

The CNN anchor will be moving to channel HLN, this October to take over the 8 pm time slot. This was previously Nancy Grace’s spot, but the anchor is excited to bring a unique brand of legal and social issues to this programming spot on television.
Back in June, Grace announced that her last day on the air for HLN would be the 13th of October. She was a former prosecutor and through her advocacy for victims, she became a household name. At times was even the subject of parody and criticism.
Banfield will take to the air on HLN on October 17th. Instead of the prosecutor style, Ashleigh will bring a reporter's perspective and sensibility, through her many years of legal journalism experience as a former anchor on Court TV.
According to Ken Jautz, the executive of HLN, Banfield is the ideal candidate as the programming on the channel is being refocused. The channel is attempting to expand the live hours of service and roots of the news.
Not only will Banfield take over for Grace on HLN, but she will also continue to be a legal analyst on CNN. However, Ashleigh’s last day on “Legal View”, will be on September 23.
The name Ashleigh is a variant of Ashley an English surname, which was taken from a place that means “ash tree clearing”. Up until the 1960s, the name was a popular boys name across America. Nowadays it is a common name for girls, like Ashleigh Banfield.
