The transgender actress, Alexis Arquette has passed away at the age of 47-years-old. The character actress is survived by her siblings – actors Rosanna, David and Patricia Arquette. She died Sunday morning surrounded by family in Los Angeles. The star was serenaded with the hit song from David Bowie “Starman,” by her siblings at the end.
Her siblings stated that Alexis was an amazing painter, artist, singer, entertainer and actor. However, watching Alexis grow as a transgender woman, they understood what real love and bravery was all about.
Alexis started performing at a the young age of 12, appearing in a music video called “She’s a Beauty” by The Tubes. Her big break-through as a transgender performer came when she played a sex worker in “Last Exit to Brooklyn.” She has also had small roles in other films, like “Bride of Chucky” and “Pulp Fiction.” Alexis also impersonated Boy George in a couple of Adam Sandler comedies - “The Wedding Singer” and “Blended.”
