Aminuddin Dagar: was a famous exponent of Dhrupad style of singing.Nasir Amin-ud-din Dagar was one of the four famous sons of Nasiruddin Dagar, who was himself a legendary Dhrupadiya. Dhrupad singing has been preserved by the family over several generations. Of Nasiruddin Dagar's four sons, the two eldest ones -- Moinuddin Dagar (1919-1966) and Aminuddin Dagar -- formed a pair known as Senior Dagars. And the younger duo of Faiyazuddin and Zaheeruddin came to be known as Junior Dagar Brothers.

Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar: Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar is considered to be one of the foremost Dhrupad singers in India today. Since the demise of his father and later, his uncle in 1989 and 1994 respectively, Wasifuddin has been singing solo.The maestro received most of training directly under the tutelage of his father, and younger uncle, the junior Dagars, since he was five years old. Additionally he has had opportunity to receive instructions from his grand uncle, Ustad N. Rahimuddin Dagar, his elder uncle, Ustad Aminuddin Dagar (one of the two the elder Dagar brothers), as well as some of his cousin uncles, Ustad Fariduddin Dagar, Ustad Fahimuddin Dagar and Ustad Sayeeduddin Dagar, all of whom are great exponents of Dhrupad singing.

Zia Mohiuddin Dagar: was a North Indian (Hindustani) classical musician, one of the 19th generation of Dagar family dhrupad musicians. He was largely responsible for the revival of the rudra vina as a solo concert instrument.Z. M. Dagar was born in the town of Udaipur, Rajasthan and began musical study with his father, Ustad Ziauddin Khan Dagar, court musician for the Maharaj of Udaipur. He was trained both in vocals and in the rudra vina, an instrument used by vocalists to practice melodies. The vina was traditionally not played in public

After his father’s demise, he continued learning under his elder brother, Late Ustad Z M Dagar, the foremost Rudra veena player of 20th century.Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar represents the 19th generation of the musical tradition of the Dagar family that is believed to have preserved and nurtured Dhrupad for 20 generations.

Abdul Qadir Dagarwal: was the leader of the Afghan air force squadrons that attacked the Radio-TV Station during the 1978 Coup that started the Saur Revolution.Ironically, he also participated in the 1973 Coup that created the Daoud Republic of Afghanistan under the Presidency of Mohammad Daoud Khan. He served as the leader of the country for 3 days, when the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan took power and declared the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. He was born in 1944 in Herat and trained as a pilot in the USSR.
