Eiji Bando: a Japanese television entertainer and former baseball player. He had pitched many innings in his high school career. Japan High School Baseball Federation was afraid that he injured his arm, so they set a rule of rematch in 1958. However, he pitched 18 innings in a 1958 quarterfinal game, which resulted in the first case of rematch in the National High School Baseball Championship. He reached the final, but he didn't win the championship. His record with 83 strikeouts in the tournament remains unbroken to this day. He joined Chunichi Dragons but it is said that he didn't regain his pitching.[1] He can't extend his elbow even now.

Eiji Sawamura: was a right-handed pitcher who played professional baseball in Japan for the Yomiuri Giants.On November 20, 1934, the 17-year-old Sawamura faced a team of visiting all-star players from Major League Baseball, including Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig, and Charlie Gehringer. Entering the game in the fourth inning, the high school pitcher struck out nine batters and held the Americans to a single run over five innings pitched; a home run by Gehrig in the seventh that would saddle Sawamura with the loss. However, he did manage to strike out Gehringer, Ruth, Gehrig, and Foxx in succession. Connie Mack, who was managing the American team, was so impressed by Sawamura's performance that he tried to sign him to a Major League contract; Sawamura refused to go, citing a reluctance to leave home.

Eiji Iwamoto: a Japanese figure skater. He is the 1999 Japanese junior national champion. He went on to compete for Japan at the 2000 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, where he placed 24th. He competed for three seasons on the Junior Grand Prix, winning the silver medal at the 1998 event in Mexico. His highest placement at the senior Japanese Figure Skating Championships was 6th. Iwamoto retired from competitive skating following his graduation from university. He now works as a coach and choreographer. He also taught in the USA with his old choreographer Robert Daw.
