David Payne: is a politician and former member of the National Assembly of Quebec, Canada, from the constituency of Vachon. During his time in the National Assembly he was the only anglophone MNA within the Parti Québécois parliamentary caucus, and advocated anglophone rights in a new Québec Constitution. He was elected to the provincial legislature as the Member for the new district of Vachon in 1981, but was defeated in 1985 and 1989, only to be re-elected in 1994 and 1998.

LaVar Payne: is a Canadian politician, who was elected to represent the electoral district of Medicine Hat in the 2008 Canadian federal election. He is a member of the Conservative Party.Before his election as Member of Parliament in 2008, Payne was special assistant to Monte Solberg, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development. Payne has worked and volunteered with various organizations in Medicine Hat and served as president of the board of the Medicine Hat Conservative riding association from 2000 to 2008. He was also Solberg's campaign manager during the 2004 and 2006 federal election campaigns.

William Hector Payne: was a Progressive Conservative party member of the Canadian House of Commons. He was an insurance agent and sales manager by career. He was first elected at the Coast—Capilano riding in the 1958 general election defeating Liberal incumbent James Sinclair. Payne made a previous unsuccessful attempt to win the riding in the 1957 election. After serving his only term, the 24th Parliament, Payne lost Coast—Capilano to Liberal candidate Jack Davis in the 1962 election.
