Sosuke Uno: was a Japanese politician and the 75th Prime Minister of Japan from June 3, 1989 to August 10, 1989.Uno's main action as prime minister was to institute the country's first consumption tax, which immediately caused an uproar among many voters and led to the Japan Socialist Party's victory in the Tokyo metropolitan legislative election of 1989. Uno's government was also hurt by repercussive effects from the Recruit Scandal of 1988. Uno assumed office as the tanks rolled into Beijing on June 3rd.

Sosuke Takaoka: a Japanese actor, who currently lives in Tokyo.He is best known in the Western world for his break-out performance in the controversial movie Battle Royale, in which he played the pacifistic Hiroki Sugimura (Boy #11). Takaoka then moved from muted heroics to active anti-heroism in portrayals of the grittier side of teenage violence, such as in Concrete. The film was based on the events of Junko Furuta's sadistic murder by four youths in 1988.

Sumitani graduated from the Department of Economics at Keio University.On May 18, 2006, Sumitani was charged with illegal photography of a minor after videotaping under a high school girl's skirt while riding up an escalator at JR Yokohama Station. The incident happened on February 20, after a railroad police officer on patrol saw him taping under the girl's skirt. Sumitani quickly confessed saying, "I was turned on and followed my temptations. I sincerely apologize."
