Shinji Aoyama: a Japanese film director and novelist. He graduated from Rikkyo University. He won two awards at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival for his film Eureka.Shinji Aoyama was born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka prefecture, Japan, where he attended Kitakyushu Midorigaoka public junior/senior high school. He graduated in 1989 from Rikkyo University, where he majored in film studies in the department of British and American Studies. While he was a student, he was deeply influenced by the theorist and film critic Shigehiko Hasumi, from whom he took classes.

Shinji Higuchi            Origin/Culture/Country: Japanese

Shinji Higuchi: a storyboard artist (especially in anime) and is one of the top special effects wizards in Japan, best known for his work on the Heisei Gamera Trilogy. He works on both anime and tokusatsu projects.As a teenager fan, he started out as one of the four founders of Daicon Films (now Gainax), along with Hideaki Anno, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and Takami Akai. A highly talented artist, he worked on many of their early anime and tokusatsu productions, doing storyboarding as well as special effects. Soon, he got to help out special effects director Teruyoshi Nakano as an uncredited assistant for The Return of Godzilla (1984). But his first major FX credit came with Daicon's 1985 low-budget daikaiju epic-comedy, The Eight-Headed Giant Serpent Strikes Back. He continued to be a storyboarder for anime such as Gunbuster (1988) and Otaku no Video (1991), and was the special effects director for Toho/Tsuburaya Productions' 1991 SF-thriller, Mikadoroid.

Shinji Harada            Origin/Culture/Country: Japanese

Shinji Harada: a famous pop music artist in Japan, born in Hiroshima, on December 5, 1958.Harada became musical sensation in Japan when he released his debut single Teen's Blues on October 25, 1977 when he was 18 years old. He released two more singles, Candy in November and Shadow Boxer in December same year. All three singles ranked top 20 in Oricon chart simultaneously, which had never happened before in Japanese music history. The debut album Feel Happy was to become number one in the first week of release in Japan in 1978. A documentary film about him, Our Song, was made in 1978. Harada has been prolific, releasing more than 70 singles.

Shinji Hamazaki            Origin/Culture/Country: Japanese

Shinji Hamazaki: was a former Japanese baseball player. Signed by the Hankyu Braves in 1947 prior to the draft, and played for the Industrial League Mantetsu Club. He was also a member of the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
