Nobuo Tanaka: the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency. He was born on March 3, 1950 in Japan. He is graduated from the University of Tokyo in the field of economics in 1972, and has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio (1979). In 1973 he began his career with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI). In 1989 he joined the OECD as the Deputy-Director for Science, Technology and Industry, and served in 1991-1995 as the Director for Science, Technology and Industry.

He is most readily associated with other writers of his generation, such as Shotaro Yasuoka, who describe the effects of Japan's defeat in World War II on the country's psyche.From an early age, Kojima read a wide variety of literature, both Japanese and Western, and such writers as Nikolai Gogol, Franz Kafka, and Fyodor Dostoevsky had a strong influence on his work. Alongside his writing, he had a long career as a professor of English literature at Meiji University in Tokyo, writing translations and criticism of many major American writers. [1]

Nobuo Sato: a former Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. Along with Machiko Yamada, he is one of the more successful coaches in Japan. He is a ten-time national champion and competed at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympic Games. His best finish at the World Championships was 4th in 1965. He is married to Kumiko Okawa. Their daughter is Yuka Sato, the 1994 World Champion. His current students include 2006 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and the 2007 Asia Champion, Yukari Nakano and World Junior Champion Takahiko Kozuka. His former students include Yuka Sato, Miki Ando, the 2007 World Champion, and 2004 Grand Prix Final Champion, three time World medalist Fumie Suguri.

Nobuo Arai: was a Japanese swimmer who competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam.There he won a silver medal in Men's 4x200m freestyle relay event. He was also fourthth in the semifinal of 1500 m freestyle event and did not start in the semifinal of 400 m freestyle event and did not advance in both occasions.
