To date, it has sold 4.5 million copies in Japan, making it the second-highest selling book there in nearly 50 years.[citation needed]Since the publication of No One's Perfect (????? Gotai fumanzoku), Ototake became a successful sports journalist and, as of 2007, a primary school teacher in Suginami Ward, Tokyo.
