He won the 1991 World Junior Figure Skating Championships with partner Aliki Stergiadu for the Soviet Union. Following the dissolution of that country, he and Stergiadu competed for Uzbekistan. They won the bronze medal at the 1993 NHK Trophy[1] and placed 13th at the 1994 Winter Olympics[2]
