Swami Chinmayananda: was born Balakrishna Menon (Balan) in Ernakulam, Kerala in a devout Hindu noble family called "Poothampalli". Graduating from Lucknow University, he entered the field of journalism where he felt he could influence political, economic and social reform in India. But his life was changed when he met Swami Sivananda at Rishikesh and became interested in the Hindu spiritual path.

Swami Keshwanand: was an Indian freedom fighter and social reformer.When Birama was five, his family left Magluna for the nearby town of Ratangarh. Thakarsi, who used to escort prosperous Seths (Businessman) from Ratangarh to Delhi on his camel, died in 1890 when Birama was seven. This put paid to Birama's already slim chances of gaining an education; it is said that for a prolonged period, his mother had perforce to move from place to place in search of shelter and fodder for her animals. Mother and son finally settled at village Kelania in present-day Sri Ganganagar district in 1897

Although he was born in Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), his social and political activities centered mostly in Bihar in the initial days, and gradually spread to the rest of India with the formation of All India Kisan Sabha

He was elected to Lok Sabha from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He was born in Gonda district in 1947 in a royal family of Avadh, but renounced royalty as a young man inspired by the teachings of Buddha and Mahavir. He completed MA from Lucknow University.He is unmarried. His interests include tantra, philosophy, yoga and Hindu mythology. He also completed doctorate. He has written some books in Hindi namely;
