Samar Das: was a Bangladeshi musician and composer, from Dhaka. He became one of the most important music directors in Pakistan and subsequently Bangladesh and was the composer of over 2,000 songs. [1]In 1953, he joined HMV as a pianist in their backing orchestra. In 1966 he became the chief music director of the Cultural Academy, Karachi, Pakistan. Also in 1966, he led the Pakistan Delegation to the Commonwealth Music Festival in London. In 1967, he was appointed a music director at Dhaka Radio.

Dr. Sima Samar: the Chairperson of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) and, since 2005, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Sudan.Samar was born in Jaghoori, Ghazni, Afghanistan, on 4 February 1957. She obtained her degree in medicine in February 1982 from Kabul University, the first Hazara woman to do so. She practiced medicine at a government hospital in Kabul, but after a few months was forced to flee for her safety to her native Jaghoori, where she provided medical treatment to patients throughout the remote areas of central Afghanistan.
