Sahar Hussein Al-Haideri: was an Iraqi female print and radio journalist.[1] She was murdered by extremists on June 7, 2007, becoming the 108th journalist, including 86th Iraqi journalist, to be killed covering the Iraq War since its outbreak in 2003.[1] (as of June 2007).Sahar Hussein al-Haideri's career in journalism began after the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the fall of Sadam Hussein's Baathist regime. A number of international news training programs were set up by media agencies throughout Iraq, including the IWPR, the Reuters Foundation and others. Al-Haideri was one of the few Iraqis to enroll in the IWPR journalism reporting and training program.[1] The programs offered aspiring Iraqi journalists a new career direction.

Khatun is a member of Parliament, and the former law secretary of the Awami League. Sahara Khatun has been involved in politics since her student life. She is currently a parliament member as well as Home Affairs Minister of the Bangladesh. She entered the national political scene in 1991 when she contested in the 5th Parliamentary elections as an Awami League candidate, and was defeated by Khaleda Zia of BNP, who then went on to become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Valeriu Saharneanu: is a journalist from the Republic of Moldova. He has been the head of the Union of Journalists of Moldova since 1997. He worked as editor (1975–1987), deputy editor in chief (1989–1991), editor in chief (1991–1994) at TeleRadio-Moldova. During the 1994 parliamentary election, Saharneanu was aggressed at the entrance of the building where he lived and was sick for three months. Soon, he lost his job at TeleRadio-Moldova and his wife, Maria Bulat-Saharneanu, lost her job at "Femeia Moldovei" magazine. Saharneanu is co-founder and director of Euronova Media Group (the Vocea Basarabiei radio station, TV Euronova, and TV Albasat). In 2001, Saharneanu founded Gazeta Româneasca [The Romanian Gazette], a weekly magazine sold in Moldova that compiled articles from major Romanian media outlets. The project failed primarily because of financial reasons.
