After World War I, he associated with the Skamander group of Polish poets founded in 1918. From 1933-1939 he was general secretary of the Polish Academy of Literature (Polska Akademia Literatury).During World War II, Kaden-Bandrowski declined to leave German-occupied Warsaw, to which he had moved during the Interbellum.
