Jacques-Rene Hermant: was a French architect, one of the most renowned architects of fin-de-siècle Paris. Hermant was educated at the École des Beaux-Arts under Joseph Auguste Émile Vaudremer. He was a rationalist architect, but was a strong advocate for the neoromanticism style of the time, preferably the style of Louis XIII. Hermant became an advocate for concrete construction and erected two of the first reinforced concrete buildings in Paris, collaborating with the French engineer Edmond Coignet (1856–1915), who patented his system in 1892.

Abel Hermant: was a French novelist, playwright, essayist and writer, and member of the Académie Française. He received a degree from the École Normale Supérieure in 1880, and published his first volume of verse in 1883, The Contempt. After several youthful novels, he moved to ironic analysis of the popular mores of the Belle Époque and achieved popular success. His first semi-autobiographical novel, Monsieur Rabosson of 1884,

Raymond Hermantier: was a French actor. Raymond Hermantier aspired to acting since the age of 17. His training was interrupted by WWII during which he served in the Free French Forces, until the liberation of Paris. Decorated by General Charles de Gaulle, he resumed his acting career immediately after the end of the war. Supported by André Malraux and Albert Camus, he ascended to fame at the Festival de Nîmes, France, in his role of Julius Caesar.
