She recorded a cover version of Étienne Daho's French language song "Duel au Soleil" in Spanish called "Un nuevo día brillará", which became a hit song.

She is a member of the influential Sapag family - daughter of Elías Sapag, a senator; niece of Felipe Sapag, five-time governor of Neuquén; sister to Jorge Sapag, governor of Neuquén from 2007.In 1987, Sapag became secretary of government of the municipality of San Martín de los Andes and in 1991 she became Mayor of the city. She was re-elected in 1995. In 1999 she was elected to the provincial legislature.
