Kazimierz Dejmek: was a Polish actor, theatre and film director, and politician. During his career he managed the Teatr Nowy in Lódz (now the Kazimierz Dejmek Theatre), the National Theatre, Warsaw, and the Teatr Polski, Warsaw. From 1993 to 1996 he served as Poland's Minister of Culture. In 1989 Dejmek was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, one of his country's highest honours.

He was Chamberlain of King Stanislaw Leszczynski and starost of Krasnystaw and Nowe Miasto Korczyn.In the youth he stayed on the court of King Louis XV and then educated on the Military Cadet School of Stanislaw Leszczynski in Lunéville.During the Four-Year Sejm in 1788, he was a member of the Military Commission of the Commonwealth and a supporter of the 3rd May Constitution.
