William Cunningham: is an American professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA.A 6'11" center from Temple University, Cunningham played in 16 games for four different NBA teams from 1998 to 1999, averaging 0.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He has played for the Utah Jazz (1998), Philadelphia 76ers (1998), Toronto Raptors (1999) and New Jersey Nets (1999). He was not drafted by an NBA team but was taken in the 1996 USBL Draft.[1] He has also played professionally in Uruguay for Atletico Arenas in 2006.[2]

William John Cunningham: is an American former professional basketball player and coach, who was nicknamed the Kangaroo Kid.He once grabbed a record 27 rebounds in a game vs. Clemson on February 16, 1963. Cunningham also set a single-game North Carolina record with 48 points against Tulane on December 10, 1964. In his UNC career, he scored 1,709 points (24.8 points per game), and grabbed 1,062 rebounds (15.4 rebounds per game). Upon graduation, his 1,062 rebounds were the best in North Carolina history and he held seasonal records for most rebounds (379 in 1964) and rebound average (16.1 in 1963).

Merce Cunningham: is an American dancer and choreographer.Cunningham was born in Centralia, Washington, and received his first formal dance and theater training at the Cornish School (now Cornish College of the Arts) in Seattle. From 1939 to 1945, he was a soloist in the company of Martha Graham. He presented his first New York solo concert with John Cage in April 1944. Merce Cunningham Dance Company was formed at Black Mountain College in the summer of 1953. Since that time Cunningham has choreographed nearly 200 works for his company. In 1973 he choreographed Un jour ou deux for the Ballet of the Paris Opéra, with music by Cage and set design by Jasper Johns. (A revised version was presented there in 1986.) The Ballet of the Paris Opéra also performed a revival of his Points in Space in 1990. His work has also been presented by New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, White Oak Dance Project, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Zurich Ballet, and Rambert Dance Company (London), among others.
