Ian Alexander Colquhoun: Colquhoun was a lower-order right-handed batsman and a useful wicketkeeper who came late to first-class cricket, not making his debut for Central Districts until he was 29. A year later, he was in the New Zealand Test team for the two matches against Len Hutton's 1954-55 England team, fresh from retaining the Ashes. England won both matches fairly comfortably and in the second, at Auckland, New Zealand were dismissed for 26, which remains the lowest-ever total by a Test match side.

Edmund Peter Skiruing Colquhoun: was a footballer who played for Sheffield United and Scotland. He played in the position of Centre back.Known to players and fans as Eddie Colquhoun, he started his professional football career with Bury in 1962. He made 81 league appearances and scoring twice for the the Shakers. He moved on to West Bromwich Albion in 1967. He stayed for three seasons with West Brom.

William Colquhoun: was an Ontario businessman and political figure. He represented Stormont in the 1st Parliament of Ontario. He was the first treasurer for Osnabruck Township and later served as reeve for the township. In 1855, he was elected warden of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. He was re-elected in Stormont in 1871, but his election was overturned on appeal and he lost(but was victorious) the subsequent by-election in 1872. He moved to Cornwall in 1876, where he was mayor from 1881 to 1883 and also served as justice of the peace.
