William Servat: is a French international rugby union footballer, who plays at hooker for Toulouse in the French Top 14. He played for Mazères-Cassagne until 1998, when he was signed by Toulouse. In his first season at Toulouse, Servat helped the club to their fifth Top 14 title in six years. He has since been involved with just one more Top 14 title victory (in 2001), but he has helped the club to two Heineken Cup titles in 2002-03 and 2004-05.

William Henry Waddington: was a French statesman who was Prime Minister of France in 1879. Returning to France, he devoted himself for some years to archaeological research. He travelled in Asia Minor, Greece and Syria, and his experiences and discoveries were recorded in two Mémoires, recognised by the French Institute, and in his Mélanges de numismatique et de philologie ("Numismatic and Philological Miscellanies", 1861).
