Bernard Patry: is a Canadian politician, and was a Member of Parliament for the riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard from 1993 to 2011. He became a city councillor in L'Île-Bizard, Quebec in 1968, and was mayor from 1969 to 1987. He was an unsuccessful Liberal candidate in the 1988 Canadian federal election in the riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard, but won in 1993. He was re-elected in 1997, 2000, 2004, 2006 and 2008, but lost in 2011. He served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development from 1996 to 1998. He was also the chair of Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade as well as the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
