Bruno Dumont: is a French film director. To date, he has directed five feature films, all of which border somewhere between realistic drama and the avant-garde. His films have won several awards at the Cannes Film Festival. Two of Dumont's films have won the Grand Prix award: both L'Humanité [1] and Flandres (2006).[2] The only other director who has twice won the Cannes Grand Prix is Andrei Tarkovsky. Dumont's Hadewijch won the 2009 Prize of the International Critics (FIPRESCI Prize) for Special Presentation at the Toronto Film Festival, and will be distributed in France in 2009, and by IFC in the U.S. in 2010.

Henri Dumont: was a Franco-Belgian composer. Dumont was married (1653) to Mechthild Loyens, daughter of the mayor of Maastricht. As a widower he acquired the substantial benefice of the abbey of Silly near Lisieux in Normandy. In 1683 he resigned the last of his posts and died a year later in Paris.

Augustin-Alexandre Dumont: was a French sculptor. He was one of a long line of famous sculptors, the great-grandson of Pierre Dumont, son of Jacques-Edme Dumont and sister to Jeanne Louise Dumont Farrenc. In 1818, he started studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris; he was a pupil of Pierre Cartellier. In 1823, he was awarded the Prix de Rome for his sculptures, and went to study at the French Academy in Rome.
