He was a player at the club for 22 years and then worked for them as a scout, coach and manager for another 22 years. Rexach formed a successful partnership with Johan Cruyff, both on and off the field. As players they helped FC Barcelona win La Liga in 1974, the club's first win in 14 years. He also served as assistant coach to Cruyff during the Dream Team era between 1988 and 1996.

Arthur Beecher Carles: was an American Modernist painter.He returned to France from June to October 1912 and exhibited at the 1912 Salon d'Automne. After his return to America he exhibited at the Armory Show of 1913. He taught at the Pennsylvania Academy in Philadelphia from 1917 to 1925 and taught privately afterwards. His later years were marked by bouts of alcoholism. In December 1941 he suffered a stroke that left him an invalid until his death in 1952. His daughter Mercedes Carles, also an artist and the founder of the New York Studio School, was married to photographer and designer Herbert Matter.

Jean-Antonin Carles: was a French sculptor. Carlès began his studies in Marseille and then successively to the École des Beaux-Arts de Toulouse and that of Paris. He was a pupil of François Jouffroy (1806-1882) and Ernest-Eugène Hiolle (1834-1886), he won the Grand Prix de l'Exposition Universelle in 1889. He belonged to the Society of French Artists. Several models of his sculptures (La Jeunesse, Retour de chasse) are kept at the Musée des Jacobins d'Auch (Gers). He died in Paris.
