Aymé Kunc: was a French composer and administrator, director of the Toulouse Conservatory from 1914 until 1944. He won second prize alongside Maurice Ravel in the Prix de Rome competition of 1902; until 1907 he was the orchestra chief at the Théâtre Apollo in Paris. In 1914 he took over leadership of the Toulouse Conservatory, in which capacity he served for thirty years.

Marcel Ayme: was a French novelist, children's writer , humour writer and also a movie and theater playwright.Marcel Aymé was born in Joigny, in the Yonne département (Bourgogne). He studied in the Collège de Dole, and worked among other as a journalist in Paris. In literature, his first novel was Brûlebois (1926) and in 1929 La Table aux crevés won the Prix Renaudot. After the success of his novel La Jument verte (1933), he concentrated mostly on literature. He published children's stories, novels and collections. In 1935 he also started writing movie scripts. In theater, Marcel Aymé found success with his plays Lucienne et le boucher, Clérambard (1949), a farce, and Tête des autres (1952), which criticized the death penalty.

Adrian Nigel 'Adi' Aymes: was a first-class cricketer for Hampshire, where he was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper for fifteen years, winning the Natwest Trophy in 1991. His interest in both football and cricket saw him play the former in his youth, making appearances for Bristol Rovers reserves and becoming assistant-manager of Lymington Town before becoming a full-time cricketer aged 24. Aymes' first-class debut was against Surrey in June 1987, deputising for Bobby Parks. He scored 58 runs in the first innings and took one catch. He also made his debut in the List A game against Derbyshire, played in the middle of the first-class fixture, taking two catches and effecting one stumping.
