Pekka Streng: was a Finnish musician who had a notable influence on progressive rock in Finland.Streng died of cancer at the age of 26. During his short career he made two albums, which were published by Love Records. He wrote the songs and lyrics (in Finnish), and performed vocals and acoustic guitars on the albums. On the first one, Magneettimiehen kuolema (1970), he collaborated with Tasavallan Presidentti, a renowned Finnish prog band of the time. On Kesämaa (1972), various other noted musicians such as Olli Ahvenlahti and Hasse Walli took part in the studio sessions.

Pekka Niemi: was a Finnish cross-country skier who competed in the 1930s. He won a bronze medal in the 18 km event at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.Niemi's biggest success as a cross-country skier was at the 1937 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, where he won a complete set of medals (gold: 50 km, silver: 4 x 10 km, bronze: 18 km). He also won the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1938.
