Ludvig Dmitrievich Faddeev: is a Russian theoretical physicist and mathematician. He is famous for the discovery of Faddeev-Popov ghosts and Faddeev equations. His work led to the invention of quantum groups. Faddeev was born in Leningrad to a family of mathematicians. His father, D.K. Faddeev, was a well known algebraist, professor of Leningrad University and member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Faddeev went to Leningrad University where he was a student of Olga Ladyzhenskaya and Vladimir Fock.

Ludvig Holberg, Baron Of Holberg: was a writer, essayist, philosopher, historian and playwright born in Bergen, Norway during the time of the Dano-Norwegian double monarchy, and spent most of his adult life in Denmark. He was influenced by the Humanism, the Enlightenment and the Baroque. Holberg is considered the founder of modern Danish and Norwegian literature,[1][2] and is best known for the comedies he wrote 1722–23 for the theatre in Lille Grønnegade in Copenhagen.

Ludvig Drescher: was a Danish amateur football (soccer) player in the goalkeeper position. He played four games for the Denmark national football team, and won a silver medal at the 1908 Summer Olympics. He played his entire senior career with Kjøbenhavns Boldklub, with whom he won the 1913 Danish football championship.Drescher took part in the first official Danish national team game, played at the 1908 Summer Olympics. He was the starting goalkeeper in all three Danish games at the 1908 Olympic football tournament, as Denmark won silver medals. He played his fourth and last Danish national team game in May 1910. Drescher was once again selected for the Danish squad at the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was an unused reserve player throughout the games, and did not receive a medal, as Denmark won silver again in the 1912 Olympic football tournament.

Ludvig Grundtvig: was a Danish photographer and portrait painter. He based many of his later paintings on his own photographs.For a number of years, Grundvig exhibited his portrait paintings at Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. In 1863, he set up a studio as a photographer on Amagertorv in the centre of the city which he maintained until his death in 1901. But he also continued to produce paintings and drawings in his studio, many based on his own photographs. Although he specialized in portraits, he also took landscapes such as the large photograph of the cliffs of Bornholm from 1870 which can be seen in the Royal Library of Denmark.[1]

Ludvig Mylius-Erichsen: was a Danish author, ethnologist, and explorer, from Ringkøbing. He was most notably an explorer of Greenland. With Count Harald Moltke and Knud Rasmussen he formed the Danish Literary expedition (1902-04) to West Greenland, and in the early stages (1902) discovered near Evigheds Fiord two ice-free mountain ranges. Later the party proceeded to Cape York and for 10 months lived native fashion with the Eskimo. The return journey of the expedition to Upernivik across the ice of Melville Bay was the first sledge crossing on record.
