Jahangir Shah Badsha: is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in 5 ODIs from 1986 to 1990. He is sometimes known on scoresheets by his nickname Badshah. He was one of the players who took part in Bangladesh's first ever official ODI (against Pakistan at Moratuwa in 1986). Though he was out for a duck, he took 2/23 from 9 overs. Apart from being a successful cricketer, Shah was also a very competent footballer. He wasn't the fastest bowler in the world, but he had the ability to swing the new ball, especially away from the right-handers. Many still regard him as the best swing bowler Bangladesh ever had. Unfortunately, the conditions in Bangladesh, (and Indian subcontinent in general) is not very suitable for swing bowling.

Mohiuddin Jahangir: was a Captain in the Bangladesh Army during the 1971 Liberation War. He was born in 1948 in the village of Rahimgonj under Babugonj upazilla of Barisal district. He was an officer in Sector 7 of the Muktibahini. He was killed in an attempt to break through enemy defence on the bank of the Mahananda River. His initiative seriously undermined the Pakistani Army's resistance in the area and led to the fall of the position to the Pakistan Army. The main gate of Dhaka Cantonment- "Shaheed Jahangir Gate" is named in his honour.

Syed Jahangir: a prominent free-lance artist of Bangladesh. He was born in Satkhira on January 2, 1935. He graduated in Fine Arts from Govt. Art Institute of Arts and Crafts, presently Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. He has been painting for 55 years including 9000 oils, watercolors and mixed medias.[1] Through his career, Syed Jahangir has held 35 solo and 1 group exhibition.[2] On February 22, 2007, one exhibition of Syed Jahangir was held in Chitrak Gallery along with other renowned painters such as Nitun Kundu, Samarjit Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Mahmudul Haque, Hamiduzzaman Khan and Hashem Khan.[3]
